Something like the "ghost quilting" here - http://www.teaginnydesigns.blogspot.com/2012/10/links-quilt.html.
Anyway, just a thought, if you don't want to make a ton of extra dresdens. I would also recommend practicing your machine quilting on a small charity quilt first - those dresdens are too gorgeous to be practice! I can't wait to see the completed versions. (And I'll be curious to see how you quilt the huge one...that intimidates the heck out of me, but I just about killed myself from the weight of holding up my aunt's large t-shirt quilt!)Ellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17129822128164340288noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-359763197583801690.post-9225278566354406442012-10-01T23:53:36.388-04:002012-10-01T23:53:36.388-04:00Both tops are looking great! I can't wait to "meet" them!

I liked the diamond setting for my Dresden Plates too, and my lack of motivation to make all those half-blocks ( since I already thought I was done) is the biggest reason why the whole project has been in a box for a couple of years...Jessiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15252299991773136970noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-359763197583801690.post-44619881560059280392012-09-28T10:12:52.238-04:002012-09-28T10:12:52.238-04:00Thanks Clare and Douglas: It is great to hear some...Thanks Clare and Douglas: It is great to hear some feed back. Keith and I both liked the diamonds but it was a chore too big for my endurance while working at the bay. Clearly there needs to be a diamond version in the future. The quilting is waiting for some cooler weather to hold the big Rose-star on my lap and a walking foot attachment for the Dresden project. Thanks for the encouragement and support. Congratulations on both the rose and d...Frederick,

Congratulations on both the rose and dresden plate quilts - they are both lovely! It's a delight to compare the roses and see how many strikingly different visual statements you achieved by using the same pattern. I really like the diamond option on the Dresden Plate.Douglas Khttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03597990482009757464noreply@blogger.com
